Hot on the heels of the Das Shadow and Broad Bean Band releases, the new true-blue MONOlith label/collective known as We Collect Enemies hits you across the back with another banger by a brother under another name.
Hunnypot artist/writer DJ Wool (AKA one 3rd of the originators of the WCE clique) has been on a tear for the last year with non-stop remixes, singles and new material for his group The Glass. Here he is with yet another feather in his cap, this time under the ID known as The Dark Snuggler!
With remixes by Lars Moston (Moston & Malente), Boeoes Kaelstigen (Adrian Recordings, Sweden) and Jetlag (collab. between The Smiths' bassist Andy Rourke, yes THE Smiths and Russian/NYC DJ Ole), the release promises to pack lots of pop for the price coming from your pocket. A definite natural disaster in these days of earthquakes, oil leaks and volcano eruptions courtesy of the kind people over at We Collect Enemies.
'The Dark Snuggler' will be released exclusively on Beatport on 28th June 2010 and other download sites from 12th July.

HUNNYPOT Radio # 186 Recap…The Show was a scortcher! The night started off with a blazing set from DJ Hot Tub setting up the night’s first performance by eclectic singer/songwriter Kris Gruen from Vermont, who played a few acousticly smoothed out selections from his latest release Part of It All.
(Check out Kris Gruen on MySpace)
Gruen’s performance was a perfect transition into special guest DJ Kevin Kent from High Desert Music, who rocked through a killer set of foot stompin’ country rock tunes.
Featured act U-N-I from Inglewood, really took the show to a new level as the they turned out a pumped up soul-hop set of selected tracks from their new album A Love Supreme 2.0. The duo killed “Land of the Kings” featuring DJ Butters on the 1’s and 2’s! Be sure to check out U-N-I at The House of Blues on May 19th, as they will be teaming up with Reflection Eternal for the West Coast leg of the Revolutions Per Minute TOUR!
(Check out U-N-I on MySpace)
The closing set was spun by DJ Butters (P.A.T.) featuring new and old school hip-hop classics.
